AI and Trust: How Technology is Changing Teams

The role of AI in the world of work is becoming increasingly clear. While it increases efficiency in many areas, it also raises questions about trust within teams. An article explores how untested AI results can impact trust and what companies can do to overcome these challenges. The discussion revolves around the relationship between human judgment and the automated decisions of AI systems. AI tools are increasingly involved in decision-making processes, which can increase productivity but also create new risks for team dynamics and trust between colleagues. AI is not only perceived as a tool, but increasingly as an independent decision-maker. This leads to a field of tension in which human competence and AI intelligence collide. The challenge is to use AI as a support without undermining trust in human work. At the same time, it emphasises the need to make AI systems more transparent in order to increase confidence in their results. The German government is already warning of the loss of AI competition and stresses the time pressure for an appropriate response. This underlines the importance of using AI tools not only technically, but also ethically and socially responsible. Another aspect is privacy, which can be compromised by integrating AI into communication channels like WhatsApp. The ability to extract calendar data and phone numbers from messages creates new efficiency but also new risks to data security. It is therefore crucial to find the balance between innovation and privacy protection. In this context, it is important to consider not only the technical aspects of AI, but also the social and ethical implications. Companies need to ask how they can use AI tools without compromising trust in their teams. At the same time, it is necessary to inform users about the functioning and limitations of AI in order to create a transparent and trustworthy work environment.
